Contemporary Polish Design makes its mark on Asia at the Inno Design Tech Expo, from fabulously functional furnishings to quirky kitchenware, trendy toys and beautiful books
Hong Kong is currently the biggest centre of design in Asia and a gateway for western designers who want to break into eastern markets. Every year in December it hosts simultaneously two major international events: the Hong Kong Inno Design Tech Expo fair and the Business of Design Week conference. This year Poland will mark its presence during both events.
This year the organisers offered 400 m2 of premium space (also in the Inspiration Hall) for the exhibition “Must Have From Poland”, prepared by the curators of the biggest design festival in Poland - Lodz Design Week, Agata Polec and Olga Losiak. The exhibition presents everything from functional kitchenware to zany props for modern living. All pieces are recent designs by the flourishing generation of new Polish designers, each one of them currently in production en masse or independently, reflecting each designer's individual style, while also promoting the latest trends in local and global design.
